After I started blogging in December of 2011, I began to notice dozens of successful online shops. could I be successful with a handmade business too? I had been crocheting for almost 15 years and could tell that the crochet products I was making were more intricate and higher quality than much of what I saw online. So I started a shop...and did nothing to promote it.

Life got crazy, so two months later, with no sales, I shut it down. Part of the craziness, was my husband and I planning to move from our home in Washington (West Coast) to a new home in Florida (East Coast). Yes, across the nation! We planned the move because we felt God calling us to help with a church plant taking place in South Florida. After the move, I was excited to get a "normal" job again, but I felt God pushing me another direction. I didn't start really listening until my tutoring business began to succeed and I figured, if I have one work-from-home job, why not two? Plus, tutoring is seasonal, so I needed more income than I could make from just that.

So with much prayer and work, Alesha Blessed Designs was born! I am not worried if it is a slow journey for me. I just pray that each headband I make will bless whoever comes to own it. My mission is to bring beauty and blessings into each life I can touch.
